Simonson Mentorship Award
About the Award
This award is presented annually to a consumer behavior researcher who received a PhD at least 10 years ago to honor their mentoring of doctoral students. This award is entirely funded by an endowment given to ACR by Itamar Simonson’s former students. 2023 was the first year this award was given.
Dr. John G. Lynch Jr.
University of Colorado Boulder
Lynch has chaired or been on the PhD committees of 99 PhDs to date. He studies the cognitive psychology of consumer decision-making, with a recent focus on consumer financial decision-making. In addition to studying consumer decision-making, about a quarter of Lynch’s work concerns validity issues in research methodology.
