Fabian Christandl is currently employed as research scientist at the Department of Economic Psychology, University of Cologne, Germany. His general research focus is on information processing. Current research projects from the field of consumer psychology deal with the perception of price changes, labeling effects in the quality evaluation of products and why consumers high in materialism are more prone to these effects, how ethical labeling (e. g., the label "Fair Trade") may influence experienced product quality and how metacognitive cues may influence the decision making of consumers.
