Ekant Veer is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.  Ekant has served ACR as its Communications Co-ordinator from 2011-205 and Co-Chaired ACR Queenstown, 2012.  His primary areas of interest include Transformative Consumer Research, Social Marketing and the role of Identity in enacting behavioural change.  He has won a number of teaching and research awards, including the University of Canterbury's Teaching Medal and being named in the 2018 40 under 40 business professors worldwide by Poets & Quants.  Ekant has been involved in projects to improve healthy living in conjunction with the WHO, various NGOs and Government bodies. 

Ekant's work has been published in a number of international journals, such as Marketing Letters, the European Journal of Marketing, Consumption, Markets and Culture, Journal of Marketing Management, and the International Journal of Advertising.
